I'm Proud to Be a NIRD

I am a "nutrition informatics registered dietitian" — a NIRD (I love this play on words)! Every day I chart in electronic health records, I think, “How can this be done more efficiently?” And, “What else can we do to help ensure that patients' nutrition data follows them to be seen by other health practitioners?”

How Twitter Chats Have Changed My Classroom

A few years ago, I had to cancel a class I was teaching because I was out of town. I was not thrilled about missing out on instruction time so I thought, "Let's do a Twitter chat instead!" It was a huge success. Here's how you can do it in your teaching too.
